Can color help our moods?

Can color have an effect on our moods or even our health? Now days some might say the color of green, as in the color of money, can help improve our moods and health. I believe purposely adding certain colors in our homes and work place would aid us in mood lifting. For example, I would think waking up to a cloudy gray day does not help ones mood. Where waking up to a bright sunny day will make someone more positive about the day ahead. According to artists color is very important to ones mood. I am not saying that waking up to a overcast cloudy day and finding you just won the 25 million in last nights Lotto wouldn't help your mood better then just a sunny day when you find your last months Rent check bounced. Its just to me color is very important to bring out the positive vibes from within oneself.
